Short Stories
$5.00 per page (250 words), no fewer than 10 pages. Half payment due with manuscript, balance due upon return of manuscript and commentary.

Poetry
Initial Contact: 15-20 pages of poetry (32 lines per page, no more than one poem per page) $100.00. Half payment due with manuscript, balance due upon return of manuscript and commentary. Subsequent individual poems: $15 per page (32 lines).

Chapbooks of no more than 30 pages: $150-$175. Half payment due with ms., balance due upon return.

Full collections of no more than 70 pages: $300. Half payment due with ms., balance due upon return.

With poems and stories I will make analytic comments and suggestions (both overall and line-by-line) for improvement, identifying strengths and weaknesses. With book manuscripts I will also suggest alterations in order, omissions, additions and alternative titles. Additionally, I will make suggestions of venues for submission.
Note: I will not recommend manuscripts to LSU Press for publication, nor will I consider for publication in Shenandoah any work that I have critiqued over the past year.
